I can't believe it is already nine years since I published my first Speedy Tuesday story. In 2012, I posted a picture of my Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch on Facebook with just It is Speedy Tuesday', as it was a Speedmaster and a Tuesday. Fast forward to today, and Omega now drops its new Speedmasters on Tuesdays (deliberately). You could say a lot has happened in the last nine years.Since then, we've published nearly 500 Speedmaster articles and the Speedy Tuesday hashtag has been used over 280,000 times on Instagram by Speedmaster enthusiasts and collectors. In 2017 and 2018, we even had the opportunity to create two Speedmaster Professional watches, the Tribute To Alaska III and the Ultraman. But most fun are the Speedy Tuesday Get-Togethers that we will hopefully be able to organize again soon. We can't wait to meet with other Speedmaster fans again.Nine of the best from the best nine yearsIn the past nine years, weve covered a lot of different Speedmaster stories. From the introduction of new Speedmaster models to sharing personal stories from you, our readers. In this article, you will find the best-read nice articles of the last nine years of Speedy Tuesday. Of course, articles that are nine years old had more time to be read, but our traffic growth has been very steep in the past few years, so we just used Google Analytics to sort out the numbers.9. Omega Speedmaster Tintin RevisitedMichael Stockton wrote this Speedy Tuesday article on the Speedmaster Tintin that was introduced in 2013. We were the ones to break the story on the (unofficial) association with Tintin and, in this article, Mike shares with you a few details on his purchase of this special Speedmaster.Click here for the Speedmaster Tintin Revisited article:?https://www.fratellowatches.com/speedy-tuesday-speedmaster-tintin/8. Speedmaster BezelsDot-Over-Ninety, Dot-Next-To-Ninety, Dot-Below-70, Dot-Next-To-70, 220, etc. Buying a vintage or pre-owned Speedmaster can be a snake pit. The number of emails and direct messages we receive to assist people buying a Speedmaster could easily be our daily job and with these types of articles, we hope to give some answers to the most common questions.Click here for the for the article on Speedmaster bezels:?https://www.fratellowatches.com/speedy-tuesday-differences-speedmaster-bezels/7. Hands-On Speedmaster Calibre 321 review and videoThe steel Speedmaster Caliber 321 has been introduced on the first Tuesday of 2020. An amazing watch that is not a limited or special edition, but you will need some patience for it regardless. The manufacturing of this watch takes place outside the regular industrialized production at Omega's HQ. In a special Calibre 321 workshop, watchmakers are assembling the Speedmaster Ed White watches by hand. Each watchmaker takes care of one Speedmaster Calibre 321. This article is a hands-on review of my personal Speedmaster Calibre 321.Click here for our hands-on Speedmaster Calibre 321 review and video:?https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-speedmaster-caliber-321-review-including-a-video/6. The Original UltramanAfter the introduction of the Speedy Tuesday Ultraman in 2018, we got our hands on an original Speedmaster Ultraman 145.012 from 1968. The creator of the Ultraman series was Eiji Tsuburaya, who was probably a watch collector himself as many of his creations sported interesting watches. Including this Speedmaster with orange second hand.Click here for the article on the original Ultraman: https://www.fratellowatches.com/speedmaster-ultraman/5. Introducing the Speedmaster Speedy TuesdayOne of the most memorable days in my life is January 10th 2017. It was the day of the introduction of the Speedmaster Speedy Tuesday. It was a nerve-wracking afternoon, as we didn't know how people would respond to this watch or whether 2,012 was too many. Although, it sounds na?ve now, but at the time nobody knew about this project. The design process, the manufacturing, the launch day, but also the after-sales service process were very interesting to witness up close. It turned out to be a life-changing event for me.Click here for the Speedy Tuesday watch introduction:?https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-speedmaster-speedy-tuesday-limited-edition/Wally Schirras CK29984. How the Speedmaster Became the MoonwatchAn article that is being clicked on a daily basis, the story of how the Speedmaster eventually became the Moonwatch and which references have been worn on the moon. For many years, it was a bit of a vague story on how the Speedmaster ended up on the wrist of Buzz Aldrin, but the Omega Museum did a proper job with the help of NASA and got all the facts on the table. This article contains the true story of how the Speedmaster became the Moonwatch.Click here for the article on how the Speedmaster became the Moonwatch:?https://www.fratellowatches.com/speedmaster-became-moonwatch3. The new versus the former MoonwatchThis is a great example of how traffic grew for us in the last few years. A very recent article with so much traction that it outperformed some existing evergreens. In this article, we compare the current (new) Speedmaster Moonwatch to the previous reference, in detail. Because that's how you like it (and we do too).Click here for the Speedmaster comparison article:?https://www.fratellowatches.com/hands-on-watch-review-omega-speedmaster-moonwatch-new-vs-old/2. The Omega Speedmaster Buyer's GuideIn this series of articles (the others are performing very nicely as well, but I decided to just include one) we give you some guidance in buying a Speedmaster. Whether that's a new one or a pre-owned/vintage one, or one of the Mark-series, etc, we have it covered. It gives you some proper insights on the different references and variations and the things that require attention before you pull the trigger on a Speedy.Click here for our Speedmaster Buyers Guide: https://www.fratellowatches.com/the-omega-speedmaster-watch-buyers-guide1. The Moonwatch vs. the ReducedOn one hand, I can't believe this is still the best Speedy Tuesday article ever, on the other hand, the Reduced always was a very popular alternative to the 42mm Speedmaster Moonwatch. It's a little bit smaller and has an automatic movement while keeping the stylistic elements of its bigger hound-wound brother. Also, the price is more interesting for a lot of people. Although the prices increased for the Speedmaster Reduced in recent years, so did it for the Moonwatch.Click here for our best read Speedmaster article of all times:?https://www.fratellowatches.com/speedy-tuesday-speedmaster-reduced-versus-speedmaster-professional-moonwatch/We have no plans on stopping with Speedy Tuesday and as said, as soon as we can we want to meet you during one of the Speedy Tuesday events. Meanwhile, dont hesitate to submit to us your own Speedmaster story and were happy to publish it!
